Rukavac is a large bay with the only large settlement on the southern coast of the island and is surrounded by few islets - Budihovac, Ravnik, Greben,... with the most beautiful lagoon in the Adriatic, where you can also treat yourself to an afternoon swim or lunch.
The bay provides the safest anchorage on the southern side of the island, because these islets protect it from the strong south wind - jugo.
If you want to make an overnight stay, you can do so in the bay of Rukavac. There you will find one of the best restaurants on Vis, the Dalmatino tavern
